Most shows booked offer BASIC audio and lighting, which typically includes one pair of Mackie powered speakers, and one Par 38 Can Light Tree. In laymen’s terms, this amounts to a small pair of speakers on tripod stands, suitable for 75 –100 guests, and 4-colored lamps on a tripod stand that offer limited stage lighting. Depending on your venue (indoor, outdoor, existing lighting, acoustics, etc.), this BASIC audio and lighting may suffice. More often than not, entertainers perform practically in the dark due to inadequate lighting, and instrumentals and vocals cannot be heard, or worse yet, are distorted and unclear due to small P.A. systems being overdriven to try and accommodate larger crowds.

Here at EC, it is our job to inform you of any potential pitfalls you may encounter on your way to producing an outstanding event. The situation described above is the most common mistake event planners make when trying to make budget and reach the very bottom line. The purpose of this document is to make you, the client aware of the risks involved with not purchasing appropriate audio and lighting for your event. Please consider the following enhancements, recommended for ANY sized event, but ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for any events with 75-100 guests or more to insure adequate audio and lighting:

360 degree “moving heads” with changing colors and patterns to the floor, walls and ceiling. Fixtures are mounted on the corners of the stage. These lights are much brighter and more effective than the Martin 812 fixtures.
